Post Falls Chamber: Participate in chamber and community events
Greetings North Idaho Business Journal readers. Summer is here and the energy is high! For those hosting visitors, check out www.visitpostfalls.org or our social media on Facebook and Instagram for local activities. Our Visitor’s Center is also open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for maps, brochures, and personalized suggestions to enhance your exploration of our community.
As members of the Chamber of Commerce in North Idaho, we're committed to a robust business community, driven by consistent participation and collaboration. I was inspired by some of our recent events to share two factors that are pivotal to our collective success: consistent participation and collaboration.
Showing Up: The first step to success
In our tight-knit community, each interaction at events is crucial for impacting our businesses positively. Showing up at meetings and local events allows us to stay informed and shows our commitment to our community's success. It makes our presence known and voices heard, contributing to a dynamic business environment and setting the stage for effective collaboration.
Collaboration: The key to building a strong network
Collaboration is central to a thriving business network. It allows us to leverage diverse skills and resources, leading to innovative solutions and shared successes. Our Chamber’s collaboration goes beyond joint projects; it includes sharing knowledge, offering support, and helping each other prosper through various initiatives.
Recently, we've seen successful collaborations like the State of the County presentation with local Chambers, a Business After Hours event in partnership with the Spokane Valley Chamber, and our ongoing partnership with the city of Post Falls on the River City Market and Music. This summer series not only provides a gathering place, but also supports over 50 micro to small businesses.
This fall, we're excited about two new projects: the Battle of the Border Golf Tournament at Circling Raven Golf Course, and a partnership with the Hub Sports Center for the Unlock Your Future — North Idaho event, which introduces eighth-grade students to career opportunities in our area post-high school.
Call to action
I urge each of you to participate in upcoming chamber and community events. Let's engage deeply, share ideas, offer skills and seek collaboration. Together, we can build not just a successful business community but one that is supportive and resilient.
Thank you for your dedication to our community. I look forward to our future achievements together!
