A BOATLOAD OF PRIDE Hagadone Marine Group again hits Top 100 Dealers honor roll
Hagadone Marine Group has made the Boating Industry magazine Top 100 Dealers list for 2018, coming in at No. 13 out of 3,000 dealers across North America. This is the 11th time that Hagadone Marine Group has made the magazine’s list.
“We worked hard to get here over the years, from a little teeny shop to this ranking in North America,” said Hagadone Marine Group President Craig Brosenne. “Our staff is unbelievable.”
The Top 100 list is about the overall quality of an operation, not merely the size or profitability. Dealers are judged on everything from their accounting practices to how their employees are trained.
“Our whole business philosophy is into be in the continue mode of process improvement,” Brosenne said. “If you’re in a process improvement mode with your staff and your business, you’re always going to be moving forward.”
One recent improvement is Hagadone Marine Group’s new $7.5 million mega marine center in Coeur d’Alene. Completed last year, the marine center features three new buildings and more than 51,000 square feet of space.
“It’s one of the top service centers in the country,” Brosenne said. “It has offerings that we didn’t have before, which is a huge plus.”
Boating Industry honored the Top 100 dealers at a black-tie gala in Orlando, Fla. last month. Service adviser Ashley Craig attended the multi-day event, which included track sessions to help dealers improve their customer service.
“It’s quite an honor to be part of this awesome team,” she said. “I know Mr. Hagadone has invested a lot into this dealership and it’s a great company to work for.”
Hagadone Marine Group is a one-stop shop for worry-free boating, Craig said. It provides complete boating services on Coeur d’Alene Lake, with boat sales, maintenance, repair and warranty service, wood boat building and restoration, boat slips and moorage at three marinas, lake cruises and charter cruises, rentals, fuel, supplies and other marine support and services.
“We’re really proud to take care of each customer that way,” she said.
Whether a boat costs $500 or $500,000, Craig said, it’s someone’s prized possession — and the Hagadone Marine Group staff remember that, each time. Craig said that level of customer service makes all the difference.
“It’s not just the facility. It’s the people working here who are the heart and soul,” she said. “I love my job because of the people I work with.”
Brosenne said it takes a coordinated effort to make Hagadone Marine Group what it is, year after year.
“A huge thank you to our community, our boaters, our staff and our ownership,” he said. “I can’t thank them enough. It takes all four of them.”
