TERESA BORRENPOHL - 40 under 40

Teresa Borrenpohl is a former North Idaho College staff member now employed by Washington State University. While at NIC, Teresa created NIC Connect.

“NIC Connect made the enrollment process simple and attainable, allowing Region I students to believe they are worthy of a college education,” said her nomination.

When a school levy failed in Post Falls in 2021, Teresa co-founded Citizens for Post Falls Schools, which she chairs. With a vehicle for fundraising and campaigning, the levy passed when voters were asked again to approve it.

“Teresa’s energy and enthusiasm is contagious. She makes us believe in ourselves,” said her nomination. “One more point, Teresa does not have any children. She is doing all of this for the children of Post Falls. She is a true public servant.”
