Welcome to our latest edition of the North Idaho Business Journal.

In this issue, we delve into the theme of health and wellness, with a focus on the workplace.

In the hustle and bustle of doing business every day, it’s sometimes easy to overlook the human element that underpins our organizations.

But successful leaders know their company’s greatest assets are not found in financial statements or product portfolios. They understand the value of their employees and know that investments in human capital yield dividends far beyond the bottom line.

These are leaders who are intentional about creating work environments that foster a culture of wellness. They know their employees’ health and wellbeing is intrinsically linked to the pulse and productivity of their firms and that happy employees translate into more satisfied customers.

We’ll explore some strategies and initiatives local firms are executing to help improve their workers’ mental and physical wellbeing, and find out why they do it.

We will also talk with some North Idaho health care providers who are taking steps to ensure more of the region’s residents can easily access the care they need when they need it, especially those living in rural areas.

Thank you for joining us as we navigate the complexities of health and wellness in the North Idaho business world.
