DCI Engineers has promoted Kelly Andersen, PE, SE, to principal. While she has spent most of her nearly two-decade career with DCI at the firm’s Spokane office, Kelly helped launch its Coeur d’Alene location a few years back where she now manages this small yet mighty group of engineering and design staff — overseeing both local and regional projects throughout Idaho, Eastern Washington and western Montana.

Her work has included private and public developments in retail, medical, commercial and residential, ranging from concrete and steel to wood construction. Some of Andersen’s most notable projects include the Gonzaga University Integrated Science and Engineering Building and University Volkar Center for Athletic Achievement, along with the WSU Football Operations Building in Spokane; and the McEuen Park Parking Structure and North Idaho College Student Wellness and Recreation Center in Coeur d’Alene.

Andersen is active in several internal technical committees that aim to advance DCI’s knowledge and applications of the latest practices and technologies; and is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Washington.

Prior to joining DCI, Andersen earned her bachelor’s in civil engineering from the Oregon Institute of Technology.
