Orchard Ridge Senior Living welcomes Clifford to board of directors
Orchard Ridge Senior Living recently welcomed new member Gayne Clifford to its board of directors.
Clifford was voted in during the annual meeting with 13 of Orchard Ridge's 20-member churches being represented by clergy or delegates. Some church representatives came from as far as Newport and Pinehurst to be a part of the meeting.
Clifford was born and raised in Kellogg and graduated from Kellogg High School. He attended the University of Montana in Missoula and graduated with a degree in business administration. Upon graduation from the University of Montana, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army and retired in 1988 as a lieutenant colonel. He and his wife, Jo, live in Coeur d’Alene.
Clifford began a second career at North Idaho College where he worked for 25 years. He taught multiple courses in the business division, including computer concepts and applications, math, statistics, management, marketing and operational management. He accepted a promotion to department chair and spent the last 15 years of his tenure at NIC as the chair of the Business and Professional Programs Division.
Dr. Don Chisholm and Jody Azevedo were also voted on to serve a second term on the Orchard Ridge Senior Living board. Tony Berns was acknowledged and thanked for his six years of service as he transitioned off the board.
Since 1921, Orchard Ridge has served North Idaho by providing a faith-based loving home for older adults. Orchard Ridge offers a high-level assisted living/memory care facility as well as independent living. For 102 years, Orchard Ridge Senior Living has been governed by 20 sponsoring churches in the area, the only nonprofit facility of its kind in the Inland Northwest.
