POST FALLS CHAMBER: Working together as a chamber
Greetings Readers,
As we step into 2025, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible work we have accomplished together as a chamber. The dedication and engagement drove meaningful change in our community, and I’m thrilled to share some highlights and upcoming initiatives that showcase the power of collective action.
Amplifying Community Impact
Lunch & Learn — Heart-Smart CPR
On Feb. 20, the chamber will host its next Lunch & Learn event, focusing on Heart-Smart CPR: Nourish Your Knowledge. This session will provide attendees with hands-only CPR training, AED training, and an introduction to the PulsePoint app. These lifesaving skills empower individuals to act during emergencies, creating a safer and more prepared community. This event isn’t just about education; it’s about saving lives. I encourage everyone to attend and invite others to join as well.
River City Leadership Academy (RCLA) — Making a Difference
Our RCLA alumni and current class have been hard at work. Last month, they collaborated with the Post Falls Police Department’s Victim Services Unit, collecting 160 pairs of pajamas, 140 pairs of pajama pants, various toiletries, and $200 in cash donations. Special recognition goes to the Class of 2025 for their exceptional efforts!
Looking ahead, the RCLA class has adopted two local nonprofits — 3rd Avenue Marketplace and Newby-Ginnings of North Idaho, Inc. — as their focus for upcoming projects. These organizations provide essential support to vulnerable members of our community, and the RCLA team is committed to amplifying their impact through targeted efforts.
Chamber of Commerce Red Kettle Competition
The results are in for this year’s Red Kettle Campaign, benefiting The Salvation Army Kroc Center. Thanks to the dedication of our Board of Directors, members, and the Post Falls community, our chamber took the lead again in this friendly competition. Collectively, the three chambers raised $8,687.13, with $5,745.01 of that coming from Post Falls alone. Your giving spirit is truly inspiring, and this money will make a significant difference for those in need.
Nominations Now Open for Annual Recognition Awards
As we gear up for our annual Community Recognition Reception on Feb. 26, I encourage you to nominate outstanding individuals or businesses for our award categories. Some of these awards — include Citizen of the Year, Spirit of Post Falls, Volunteer of the Year, and Small Business of the Year. Celebrate those who go above and beyond. Every nomination is a testament to the remarkable contributions being made in our community.
Small Contributions, Big Results
Every action, no matter how small, creates ripples that contribute to the betterment of our community. Whether it’s attending a chamber event, participating in a service project, or supporting local nonprofits, your involvement matters. Together, we are building a stronger, more connected community.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication. Let us remember that it’s the little things — the pajamas, the lunches, the CPR skills — that add up to significant change. I look forward to working alongside each of you in 2025 to achieve even greater success.
Proudly serving you.
