ActiveNW Physical Therapy & Wellness is excited to announce the addition of Valda Vitolins, PT, MPT to their staff. She joined in October 2024.
Born and raised in the heart of Idaho, Vitolins has a career rooted in care, compassion and commitment to improving lives. Vitolins’s expertise lies in manual therapy, exercise prescription, and diagnosing strength imbalances and movement dysfunctions. She is particularly skilled in helping patients recover from injuries and surgeries, guiding them back to health with personalized care. She is also certified in dry needling, an advanced technique in pain management and recovery. Her dedication to excellence is further demonstrated by her status as an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor.

Mountain West Bank promotes McAndrew to VP Senior Real Estate Production Manager
Mountain West Bank has named Jimmy McAndrew to vice president, real estate production manager.
McAndrew joined Mountain West Bank in 2015 and has played a key role in leading the residential lending team. With more than 20 years of experience, he has managed over 1,000 mortgage loans across North Idaho and Eastern Washington.
Mountain West Bank promotes Rogers to Chief Operations Officer
Mountain West Bank has named Joy Rogers to chief operations officer. Rogers will oversee the deposit operations, treasury management, and customer support functions of the Bank division.
Rogers tenure with Mountain West Bank spans 26 years, all in an operations leadership capacity. She has managed Mountain West Bank’s e-Banking/Treasury Management department since 2007.
Mountain West Bank promotes Buroker to SVP Real Estate Lending Manager
Mountain West Bank has promoted Marilyn Buroker to senior vice president, real estate lending manager, overseeing lending operations in Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, Spokane and Boise.
Buroker has been with Mountain West Bank for more than 22 years. She began her career with the bank as an administrative assistant before moving into mortgage loan origination. For the past decade, she has co-managed the Coeur d’Alene sales team.
Walker and Cieslik-Miskimen join PRSA Idaho to represent North Central Idaho
The Idaho Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA Idaho) has announced two North Central Idaho appointments for its board of directors. Jodi Walker, executive director of communications for University of Idaho and Caitlin Cieslik-Miskimen, assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Media at University of Idaho, will serve as North Central Idaho regional co-chairs.
“Jodi and Caitlin are consummate professionals who will drive change in North Central Idaho,” said PRSA Idaho President Malcolm Hong. “Their leadership will help PRSA Idaho strengthen our members and public relations students by creating professional development and networking opportunities.”
Walker leads University of Idaho communications and web teams and drives the messaging for public and media relations, crisis communications and internal communications. She began at U of I in 2013 as the marketing and communication manager in the College of Natural Resources. She was promoted to director of communications two years later and, in 2023 was named co-chief marketing officer. Prior to U of I, she worked in community relations at Gritman Medical Center and as a reporter at the Lewiston Tribune.
Cieslik-Miskimen, an award-winning instructor, leads the public relations major at the University of Idaho, where she teaches media campaign strategy, event planning, and political public relations. She established the university’s PRSSA chapter and actively mentors students. Before joining U of I, she supervised accounts at Antenna Group, managing campaign strategies and media outreach for climate and energy clients, securing coverage in top publications like the Wall Street Journal and Reuters. She holds a doctoral degree in mass communication and history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
