Welcome to a tour that will cover a whole lot of ground in just a few hundred words and a handful of photos.

You’ll see how a small business can make a huge impact in North Idaho.

You’ll understand why its footprint is far greater than the 52,000 lives improved by Express Employment Professionals in North Idaho alone. The tour takes you to the heart of this 800-franchise company whose goal every year is to put one million people to work in three countries.

The tour starts right here at Express Employment Professionals in Coeur d’Alene.

Your tour guide is Katie Hunt, Client Relations Manager for the local Express Employment Professionals. Katie is taking us to just a few of the local Express Employment’s hundreds of company partners.

First up is Mike Barnes, an owner of Selkirk Sports in Hayden. Express Employment Professionals has successfully placed 60% of his team. It is through a constant effort of the Express recruiting team to identify top talent available or coming available for their clients, like Mike.

“Our clients rely on us to continue to look for talent that would match their team needs on long-term or short-term opportunities,” Hunt said. “Additionally, it is a real source of pride for us that we have expanded our influence in North Idaho. We’ve become a known resource to this community. When people are looking for their next career step, they think of us.”

Express Employment’s team takes its match-making of the employment world business very seriously — but not themselves. They have fun at Express. Maybe you’ve been surprised by their team in costume for their annual Reverse Trick or Treating blitz — where they deliver treats to their clients and prospects.

There’s no trick to the long-lasting relationships they build not only with their company partners, but with their associate partners as well. In fact, Tim O’Brien has been successfully placed by Express Employment Professionals on 13 different assignments. The duration of time varies, but Tim returned to Express to assist him with his job search in 2018.

On our tour, here’s what Kyle Kirschner, Express Employment Specialist, had to say:

“Tim told us that he came to us FIRST before looking for work on his own. He remembered his experience from 2006 when he was hired on by a company Express placed him in.” (The company he worked for then is STILL an active client of Express today — a relationship that has lasted for over 13 years.) “Tim has put his trust in our team at Express to place him in the right opportunities with employers in this community. Tim has been nominated by multiple client partners to be our Associate of the Month. Rightfully so. Tim exemplifies the reliability and adaptability employers are looking for on their team.”

Like any good tour, Express is headed in the right direction.

“Companies are experiencing challenges and we are here to help,” explained Kelly Dionne, Business Developer. “There are 5,017 companies in Kootenai County with fewer than 20 employees on staff. This is our niche market. We help companies and owners keep focused on what they need to do to meet their customers’ demands while we support them in all employee-related aspects: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, benefits, and training, etc.

“Larger companies are struggling to find the talent they need as well but they usually have dedicated teams working on that effort,” Dionne continued. “We then act as an extension of their recruiting and retention efforts. Often we support them on a direct hire basis for key players and/or their seasonal hiring needs.”

The benefit to seasonal employees, tour guide Hunt explained, is Express offers immediate benefit eligibility, and they can earn vacation and holiday pay along with bonuses.

“With so many struggling to get ahead each month, Express offers a lifeline and limits the time before qualifying for much-needed benefits,” tour guide Hunt said.

The tour continued through several other local businesses that rely on Express, with tourists also meeting some of the individuals who have relied on Express to find them good places to work.

The conclusion was clear: If you are a company looking for an affordable strategic partner in growing your business to new levels or you are seeking new opportunities, give Express a call and start your #IamExpress story today. They also invite those who would like to share their #IamExpress story to please call Express at 208-667-5627.

“We would love to share your story in whatever manner you’re comfortable with,” Hunt said.
