Up North Distillery wins at Honey Spirits Competition

Up North Distillery in Post Falls won four new medals at the National Honey Board's Honey Spirits Competition in September. The Barrel Finished Honey Spirit shown here is complex with tropical notes. The clean spirit is balanced with a slight honey sweetness.

Up North Distillery in Post Falls won four new medals at the National Honey Board's Honey Spirits Competition in September.

This competition is the only one of its kind that recognizes spirits made with honey. Up North Distillery uses local Idaho honey to create mead wine that is distilled and barrel aged to create four unique spirits.

The awards are:

Gold Medal — Barrel Finished Honey Spirits

Silver Medal — Honey Spirits

Silver Medal — Barrel Reserve Honey Spirits

Silver Medal — Cask Strength Honey Spirits
