The Coeur d'Alene region is facing an urgent challenge — the search for attainable housing. Employers are struggling to attract and retain employees due to the shortages. Potential businesses considering a move to the area are deterred by the high cost of housing. Long-time residents are also feeling the squeeze, leading to an unfortunate exodus to nearby counties.

It's clear that action needs to be taken by the community to address this growing need for affordable housing and secure the region's future prosperity. Luckily, North Idaho is an incredible place to live, work, and play, and we as local builders are committed to this community.

The residential building industry has a positive impact on 70% of our local workforce. We are all experiencing the repercussions of lack of available housing.

We must remind ourselves that building homes and establishing infrastructure is not a one-person task. It requires the collaboration of residents, municipalities, developers, builders and local stores and businesses. When these groups come together, it creates a vibrant and thriving community that not only meets the needs of its inhabitants but also supports economic growth. These partnerships have the power to create communities which promote local business success and provide a means by which our families stay local. Additionally, these partnerships lead to the development of safe roads, buildings and parks that will stand the test of time.

The future of North Idaho's prosperity lies in close collaboration, thoughtful development, and responsible building practices that prioritize the needs of all involved.

Join us in shaping a brighter future for our beloved region. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our residents and ensure that North Idaho continues to thrive for generations to come.
