TAYLOR BEACH - 40 under 40

Taylor Beach, a sergeant for the Coeur d’Alene Police Department assigned to the patrol division, was lauded by her nominator as an outstanding public service professional.

“She understands policing and public service very well and is an outstanding asset when interacting with the community as well as in the service she provides to those she’s tasked with protecting,” said her nomination.

Taylor is always strengthening her skills, which served her well when a suspect attacked her and her shift partners while on the street and attempted to murder them. Taylor not only defended everyone on scene, but through quick action she provided care and transport to a severely wounded officer on scene that saved his life.

In addition to her police work and many accomplishments, Taylor continuously serves the community through her role with the police department but outside work hours.

“This community is fortunate to have her on the front lines, selflessly serving the people and holding the line between the great people who live here and those who would do them harm,” her nomination said.
