Post Falls Chamber: A time to be thankful

Warm greetings readers! “Along my journey I have learned that the more thankful I am, the more I have to be thankful for.” — Fiona Childs.

I am thankful for the time spent with our Amalfi Coast travelers. It was a dream come true for me and the birthday of a lifetime for RaeAnne. There is something magical that happens when you travel together. We strengthened ties with old friends and made new friends that I might never have known without this trip. The relationships, the laughter and the memories will forever be a part of my story.

We live in a wonderful community and I am grateful for the wonderful people that are a part of it. Thank you, to our members and sponsors whose investments make our goals attainable.

Thank you to our Board of Directors who support our efforts to create an environment for our businesses and community to prosper.

Thank you to Val, RaeAnne and Jamie for your dedication and loyalty. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing team!

Thank you to our chairs of Joint Chamber Public Policy Committee, Alan Wolfe and Lauren Benedict. Thank you, Kim Young for your leadership on the Business and Education Committee and to all of our B&E members. Thank you, Shannon Balmes for your leadership on the Tourism Committee. Thank you, Val Wilcox for your work with the Ambassador Committee and thank you Ambassadors for your volunteer work throughout the year and all that you do for our members. The success of our organization comes from the strength of our members and we could not do what we do without you.

I am thankful for the right to vote and for veterans that continue to sacrifice for our freedom. I am thankful for those who choose to lead, teach and heal our citizens. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve our business community. Finally, I am thankful for friends and family, and my time on this Earth to experience all of its wonders.

As we enter the busy holiday season remember to take time to appreciate one another, support your fellow members by shopping local. We have a few ways for you to spend some holiday cheer coming up.

Please join us for the RCLA Pajama Drive on Dec. 1 from 4-6 p.m. at the chamber and then the Post Falls Tree Lighting Ceremony around 6 p.m. at City Hall.

On Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon, celebrate in style at the Post Falliday’s Tiny Tree Festival at Prairie Falls Golf Course. Bid on beautiful 4-foot fully decorated trees, enjoy holiday entertainment, a delicious brunch and create your own Bloody Mary or Mimosa.

Finally join us for our festive Annual Meeting on Dec. 19. There will be singing, and ugly sweaters as we say goodbye to Dena Naccarato as our 2023 Board Chair and welcome Cindy Jordan as our 2024 Board Chair.

Be sure to register for events at www.postfallschamber.com.
