TownPlace Suites opens in Coeur d'Alene

With several room categories on four floors, TownPlace Suites by Marriott Hotel will open Thursday, May 30, on Northwest Boulevard just south of Interstate 90.

With six room types with optional amenities, the hotel includes various room sizes and views of mountains and filtered lake views and fully equipped kitchens. Included are a complimentary breakfast, a fitness center, business services such as printing, copying and high-speed internet access, barbecue and patio areas and pet-friendly options.

Hayden Lake Physical Therapy & Aquatics opens in Post Falls

With physical and aquatic therapy, Hayden Lake Physical Therapy & Aquatics has opened a new location at 3922 E. Early Dawn Ave. in Post Falls.

The 93-degree pool includes a treadmill to reduce impact on the joints with other specialties of ASTYM, postural restoration and dry needling with seven private treatment rooms and a fully equipped therapy gym. With three locations, Hayden Lake Physical Therapy has served the community for 25 years. Physical therapists are Dirk Baird, Jim Behrens and Parker Daniels with assistants Monica Earp and Amy Cunningham.

Cōpow Foods opens off Costco complex

The grand opening for Cōpow Foods will be Friday in the multi-business complex near Costco at 3500 N. Government Way (Suite 108).

The storefront market offers fresh, sustainable organic grab-and-go meals, locally sourced artisan foods and imported specialty goods with co-founders Evie and Casey Fatz. For every meal sold, they donate a meal through nonprofit The Brighter Life Foundation.

New owners for Big Red's Barn

Offering indoor animal experiences and education, Big Red's Barn has new owners at 7397 Government Way in Dalton Gardens.

A family gets to interact with a variety of farm and exotic animals. Options include school field trips, private encounters with sloths and birthday party rooms. Jason and Ginger Harris had a soft reopening on June 7.

Locked In Escape Rooms opens on Fourth Street

As visitors step into the place, they are immersed into a realm of puzzles and riddles that challenge teamwork and push problem-solving skills to use clues to solve stories and escape in time with friends, family and colleagues.

With an array of firearms accessories and items for outdoor adventures, Idaho Guns & Outdoors has opened at 6953 E. Super 1 Loop in Athol.

Old Hickory Sheds moves to State Line

With up to 30 sheds and buildings on site and 300 ready to be delivered from the factory, Old Hickory Sheds moved from Appleway in Coeur d'Alene to 6902 W. Seltice at State Line.

Customers can buy or rent with delivery free up to 30 miles. Owners John and Pat Motley have hours of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Saturday with the buildings always open.

Post Falls ER & Hospital will open on Beck Road

Providing innovative emergency medical services and always open, Post Falls ER & Hospital will open in a new building at 497 S. Beck Road in July.

Founded and operated by board-certified physicians and Nutex Health Inc., it will offer advanced clinical, pediatrics, imaging and laboratory service with 12 emergency department rooms and five inpatient suites. It will also have an onsite laboratory and radiologic suite with high-tech testing capabilities with MRIs, CT scans, X-rays and ultrasounds with same-day scheduling and quick results.

The staff will include chief medical officer Dr. McLane Simpson, chief nursing officer Kelly Fobia, facility administrator Tamara Amende, managing partner Dr. Robert Seeley and Amy Bartoo in business development. Check

• Indigo Urgent Care will be a new place beside Prairie Shopping Center.

• With 100% wood-fired, Neapolitan-inspired products, a Cascadia Pizza Co. is opening Saturday in Rathdrum at 8083 W. Main St. (at the corner of Mill Avenue). It has indoor and outdoor seating, and takeout. Check

• Heritage Health will be in a large building at 3700 W. Seltice Way.

• A new building with Riverstone Dental as the major tenant under construction at Prairie Avenue (1701 W. Prairie) and Ramsey Road. It should open soon with Riverstone Dental in the main level and two large suites available. Riverstone Dental also has locations in Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls offering general dental care. • A Chipotle eatery is being built near Bruchi's on Highway 41.

• Watch for Upgrade Labs at 2050 Main St. in Riverstone.

• The complex being built across from Costco on Neider Avenue is for Habitat for Humanity.

• With a summer opening planned, four businesses will occupy the new building under construction at 264 S. Beck Road at State Line. With Garco Construction in charge, the places will be Wendy's, Joint Chiropractic, The Man Shop and possibly Capriotti's Sandwich Shop. Project manager is Michael Barr.

• A Fernan Farmers' Market will be noon to 4 p.m. Sundays May 5 to Sept. 29 at Lake Village Lodge at 320 E. Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive.

• With the groundbreaking for new buildings for Grocery Outlet and 7-Eleven stores, North Point Plaza is being constructed in the northeast corner of Highway 41 and Poleline Avenue. • A food court project called Eats on Spokane Street is coming soon to property at the corner of Second and Spokane Street in Post Falls. Located next to Post Falls Brewing Co., it will open in the summer with a shed-roof pavilion with roll-up doors and restaurant tenants of Melfit Healthy Kitchen and Nachos Cantina, an indoor dining space and restrooms. It will host eight food trucks and offer live music, movie nights, cornhole tournaments, firepits and more. Check and check Instagram and Facebook.    

• HeatPraxia, previously at 404 E. Sherman Ave., will be at 1080 E. Lakeshore Drive in September.

• Runge's Furniture at 303 E. Spokane St. is remodeling and will add Trader Joe's in about half the space.

• A new larger building for The Oval Office is under construction on Spokane Street in Post Falls. It should be complete this summer with owner Raci Erdem, general contractor Rob Harsh and architect Mark Latham.

• A proposed Marriott Hotel will be on about a half acre at 602 and 612 E. Sherman Ave. The six-story hotel would include 131 guest rooms, 130 parking stalls among the main level and three levels underground, an administration area, a bar, kitchen, lounge, dining area, meeting area, laundry, fitness room and a rooftop patio bar.

• A new facility for Peak Health and Wellness Center is under construction at 4425 N. Fennecus Road in Post Falls. It will move in August from 927 E. Polston (Suite 101). The new place will include eight indoor and eight outdoor pickleball courts, strength equipment, cardio and group fitness, a kids club, juice bar, pro shop and full locker room.

• The Goodwill store on Fourth Street will reopen in the summer with a $3 million remodel.

• DOMA Coffee Roasting Company will open a cafe in the 3,000-square-foot main floor in the new building off the Centennial Trail at 3091 S. Atlas Road. It includes indoor and outdoor seating with views up and down the river, coffee, tea and local pastries and takeout. Owners Muir and Julia Harrison will open with hours 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. • The Marcus Anderson building under construction at 8182 N. Wayne Drive in Hayden has commercial units to be occupied by Ascent Counseling and Marcus Anderson Family Foundation (now at 8382 N. Wayne Drive). A third unit of 1,508 square feet is available through Daranie Anderson at The building should be done soon.

• The Thomas George building under construction at Third Street and Front Avenue downtown will be 18 stories. It will comprise 60 condominiums on floors 4-18 with garages, an on-site concierge, a 24-hour gym, golf simulator, indoor-outdoor pool and a lakeview community terrace. • The Appleway Quarter new building at 295 E. Appleway will have businesses on the ground floor and 24 apartments on the two floors above. Spaces are leased to 208 Massage & Spa and a tap house. • Opening later this spring, The Mill at 1705 Government Way is offering move-in specials for prospective tenants. The four-story building has 43 apartments with amenities of a prime location, a fitness center, a community clubhouse and a rooftop deck. • A four-story 151-room Hyatt Place Hotel is planned for the Millworx development on Fourth Avenue in Post Falls.  

• Mountain View Business Center's commercial leases for flex space in the new building at 9044 W. Prairie Ave. are all taken. More info later.

• Describing it as a "new product vendor mall," Marketplace@Miles is under construction in the southeast corner of Government Way and Miles Avenue in Hayden. • A new facility for Bolton Law is being built at 2317 N. Merritt Creek Loop just off Northwest Boulevard on the east end of Riverstone. Check

• Suites are leased in a new building at 2420 Government Way. Ranging from 898 to 915 square feet, each unit is a shell with a fully finished bathroom with tenants finishing the balance of the space. 

• Selkirk Sport will relocate its pro shop from 12037 N. Tracey Road in Hayden to 7878 Government Way later this year.

• Huetter Business Park, which is three flex industrial and office buildings owned by Etco Services, will open on Huetter Road north of Interstate 90 and Seltice Way. • Many commercial construction projects are happening between State Line and Post Falls. To see more precise locations, check the website by Matt Behringer. • A new ambulatory surgery center is under construction by Northwest Specialty Hospital at 1624 E. Mullan Ave. directly east of its main campus at 1593 E. Polston Ave. in Post Falls.
