40 Under 40: Jonathan Klaucke

Before Dr. Jonathan Klaucke joined Bonner General Health, children with orthopedic injuries had to travel to Spokane and patients with hand injuries waited weeks to be seen in Coeur d’Alene or Spokane.

Now Sandpoint area residents have access to Klaucke’s expertise in hand and pediatric orthopedics, subspecialties that are not available at most tertiary and critical access hospitals.

Klaucke is known for going above and beyond, always keeping the patient’s wellbeing as his top concern and priority. Even when he’s not on call, he makes himself available for complex orthopedic cases and to consult on difficult patients in the emergency department.
