40 Under 40: Melissa Menke

Moorage and customer experience manager Melissa Phang Menke, 37, has worked for the Hagadone Marine Group for three years. She has been with the Hagadone Corporation for nine years.

Menke is involved in budgeting, planning and operations. She also serves as the Vertical Quick Launch Clubhouse manager. In her numerous roles, Menke oversees lease agreements, insurance compliance, payment processing, maintenance coordination, vendor relationships, inventory, event planning and marina staff at Boardwalk, Silver Beach and Blackwell marinas; as well as the Vertical Quick Launch and Boat Club.

Menke is honored to be a 40 Under 40 winner.

"It is rewarding to be recognized for the hard work put in every day to demonstrate our passion for the industry we are inspired by," she said. "It is also extremely gratifying to be chosen for this award as a Latino woman. I hope it serves as an inspiration to others."

Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Menke is a proud first-generation immigrant. She previously worked for Disney, Telluride Ski Resort and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

"After 16 years in hospitality, I jumped at the opportunity to work for Hagadone Marine and discovered a new world that has mesmerized me," she said. "I've never looked back."
