Hayden Chamber: 'There is strength in numbers'

It is often said, "there is strength in numbers." This strength is of paramount importance to any association and the Hayden Chamber of Commerce is no different.

Growing our numbers can achieve multiple benefits for you. New members bring new ideas and vitality which enhances the success of our programming. A strong economy increases the area's overall quality of life. That common goal and the statement: "Hi, I'm a fellow Hayden Chamber member" can help open a new door and aid in growing your enterprise. It can also be in the unity that those numbers bring with them.

How can you help out to grow and unite our membership? One great way is to introduce a prospective member to the chamber and fellow members by asking them to attend, as your guest, to one of our monthly events, such as our Networking, Business & Connections (NBC) Luncheons. We also have our Ambassador meetings, usually the first Wednesday of each month but it will be on Tuesday, June 4 at the Hayden Senior Center where we will welcome them with their ribbon cutting for becoming new chamber members recently.

There are our Chamber After Hours with our business members as the host. These are always great events, with food and beverages and a chance to engage and exchange business to business information. On May 30, Lake City Auto Care will be hosting our Chamber After Hours combining it with their 10-year anniversary. It will be a party you don’t want to miss!

As always, we value your membership, support of your Hayden Chamber and efforts to build our strength! We are excited to be growing our membership and are already at 28 new members so far this year.

As a community we all share the same challenges. We are faced with a growing, but somewhat fragile economy, we continue to be hopeful as we look toward to the future. Our will to succeed is found in knowing that we are not alone, and now more than ever, it is critical that we work together, hand in hand, to find solutions and effect change.

Strength in numbers lends weight and credibility to our message, and it is the backbone and foundation of a Chamber of Commerce.

As an advocate for local businesses and the community, the Hayden Chamber is uniquely positioned to assist in effectively facing these challenges. By leveraging the collective strength of our membership, we are able to influence public policy related to business and economic development as well as quality of life issues impacting business such as those related to transportation, housing and education.

We are fortunate to have a large and diverse membership rich in experience and expertise. We draw support from a base of volunteers who serve on our Board of Directors, committees and from our ambassadors. These individuals understand that our strength lies in our ability to unite and work together, and they are willing to contribute their time and talents to sustain a strong and dynamic organization vital to the Hayden and surrounding business community.

Our work in the community and our efforts to enhance the business life in our area continue to be a driving force for our chamber and its members. We know that a thriving community is vital to attracting employers and employees alike to Hayden and maintaining a healthy local economy.

We invite you to join us in our quest to build a stronger and more prosperous community. Invest in yourself, your business and your community by becoming involved in the chamber. We welcome your participation.
